Performance Group Geopoetics was founded in 2012 by Anna Tzakou for her doctoral research on a body-landscape performance practice. Geopoetics operates as an artistic collective drawing its members each time from different fields such as theater, music, sculpture, performance art and architecture. The word ‘collective’ here implies a non-hierarchical creative process where all the disciplines equally co-form an artistic product.  The group creates environmental and site-specific (walking) performances in rural and urban landscapes to explore sites and places as collective experiences and reveal them as mythic narratives of the present moment.
